Circa ’21 is casting for:

the bikinis

Submissions accepted through May 8th!

It’s the new millennium and The Bikinis are getting back together. That girl group from the sixties that everyone loves is bringing back the sun, fun and all the great songs they sang down on the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore… all to raise money for the good folks at Sandy Shores RV Resort on Florida’s Gold Coast. In front of a live audience, The Bikinis relive their heyday and beyond, beginning in the summer of 1964, the night these four inseparable girls got their name, winning the Belmar Beach Talent Contest, wearing their bikinis! The boardwalk was smitten with the 4 teens… Jodi and Annie, two sisters from Passaic New Jersey; Karla, their slightly manipulative first cousin from Philly; and best friend Barbara, from Staten Island. The Bikinis is a nonstop celebration of song filled with hits like “It’s in His Kiss,” “Heat Wave,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “These Boots are Made for Walkin’,” “I’m Every Woman,” “It’s Raining Men,” and many more!

Circa ’21 is currently seeking actors for the “one-hit-wonder,” girl group from the Jersey Shore and encourages all ethnicities to audition or submit. Rehearsals begin June 27, 2024, with opening on July 12 and closing August 24, 2024. Performances take place at Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse in Rock Island, Illinois. Paid rehearsal, weekly salary, housing and travel included. Please see the breakdown below for a complete list of characters. For consideration, submissions should include a cover letter, headshot/resume and reel. Song reels should include songs from the show or other similar styles; two contrasting songs are preferred. Send submissions to executive producer Dennis Hitchcock at dpjh@circa21.com by May 8.

The smash hit will be directed by Brad Hauskins, who recently directed our Theatre for Young Audience productions of Madagascar and Garfield, with Music Direction by Circa ’21 Resident Music Director, Ron May.
